ROLE

You will be an integral part of a team of talented individuals passionate about solving the hard problems to make Biofire’s mission a success. We operate in a fast paced, high accountability, “there is no box” environment where the goal is always to reach the best solution as efficiently as possible. Adaptability and willingness to accept feedback are critical.

As Biofire’s Lead Embedded Hardware Engineer you will be responsible for our embedded hardware development efforts on high-reliability, safety critical products. To succeed you will need to be self-driven, obsessed with the details and comfortable operating in a multidisciplinary R&D environment. You will need to be able to architect an embedded hardware system at the highest levels while digging into the details as an individual contributor. We’re not looking for a just an analyst or manager. Analysis and management are important but mean nothing without the deep technical skills to back them up.

Day to day responsibilities of the role will include:

  • hardware standards and process definition;

  • architecture development;

  • schematic and board layout implementation including component selection; and

  • management of internal and external hardware engineering resources.

 

QUALIFICATIONS
